Alhambra

The most famous monument of Granada and Andalucia is the Alhambra. This is the best preserved & oldest Moorish palace and is with more than 2 million visitors a year, one of the most visited monuments of Andalucia and Spain . Alhambra means "Red Castle" which was constructed in the  9th Century. It is located on a hill near the river Daro and the district Albaicin.

Most of the time you can buy the entrance tickets at the entrance in order to visit the main part of the Alhambra and its gardens. But in order to visit the most impressive part, "Palacio Nazaries" we recommended to reserve the tickets on line, because this part of the Alhambra has restricted access of half an hour because of conservation reasons.
