Museo Caja de Granada

The museum to discover Andalucia. It has different rooms with expostions: 1. Diversity of landscapes 2.Land and Cities 3. Ways of Life 4. Art and Culture. The Museum Caja de Granada is a place to discover through the senses about the past and present of Andalusia. 

The exhibition of Collection CajaGRANADA has nearly a hundred works of various andalusian artists, national and international masters of all times. The works, that date between the XVI and XXI century, allow us to go through different artistic trends and 

manifestations, and at the same time enjoy the work of outstanding creators of modern and contemporary art such as Santiago Rusiñol, Pablo Picasso, José Guerrero, Manuel Rivera, Antoni Tàpies, Carmen Laffón, Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, and Romantic painters such as David Roberts,

Museo Casa de los Tiros

Museum with a rich collection of historic artwork.drawings, engravings, lithographs, photographs, drawings, pieces of local craftsmanship such as earthenware, streetlamps, fabrics, etc. Bibliographical objects with a Granada theme, travel documents, series of publications, pamphlets etc.  Next to this it has temporary exibitions. The building where the museum is located is dating from the 16th century.

Casa Federico García Lorca


This is the house where Federico Garcia Lorca lived with his family from 1926 till 1936. This is the place where he wrote his main works before he was excuted by the Guardia Civil during the Spanish Civil war.

Casa de los Pisa Museo San Juan de Dios


The museum is placed in a building which was built in 1492 and has 12 rooms and 3 galleries. The museum is showing a large amount of paintings, engravings, gold articles, furniture, porcelains, making it be considered as the most important museum of his kind in whole Andalucia.  See the brochure  in English for more information.

Fundación Rodriquez Acosta


This museum is offering five floors of artwork. The artworks that are be showed are collected by Rodriquez Acosta and Gomez Moreno.

Parque de las Ciencias 

Parque de las Ciencias is an interactive museum of over 70.000 meters. It is situated close to the center of Granada. It has one of the most varied offers of cultural and scientific leisure of Europe. Inside the building you find different scientific themes, but also a tropical butterfly garden. Outside there is a Botanic Garden, Astronomical Observatory, open air games, sculpture exhabition. This is also a great place for children of all ages because they can do their own experiments.

Centro José Guerrero


This art museum is dedicated to the painter José Guerro (1914-1991 Barcelona) and is also showing work of other painters. The museum is located near the Palacio de Carlos V (Alhambra).

Museo Bellas Artes


This museum is situated in the Palacio de Carlos V (Alhambra). It is showing Baroque art; work from Alonso Cano, Pedro Raxis, Pedro de Mena.

Cave House Museum Sacremonte


This ethnographic museum gives a view of the life in caves, living conditions and trades of its inhabitants (basketry, forge, pottery, loom). Also the history of flamenco from its origins untill now is shown. The museum is divided over 10 cave houses.
