The Béznar Reservoir is located in the south of the region Valle de Lecrin, on the riverbed of the river Ízbor. It has a surfece of 170 ha. The water that passes the dam is going to Motril and Salobreña. This reservoir has been created in order to laminar floods and production of hydroelectric power.
