Deifontes



This villages has 2574 inhabitants (2014) and is situated 735 meters above sealevel at the foothill of Sierra Arana. The names comes from the Latin words Deus and Fonts which means Sources of God. Probably this refers to the springs. Deifontes has very ancient human settlements. They have found Iberic remains in Erillas and Roman remains in Ventas del Nacimiento.
