Dólar

The village is located at the foot of the mountains, in the natural park, among pines and chestnuts. The village of Dollar, belongs to the commonwealth Marquesado del Zenete and is situated between the Natural Parks of Sierra Nevada and the Sierra de Baza.

The region is characterized by the beauty of its alpine scenery and beautiful contrasts that occur between the white peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the almost horizontal softness of the Altiplano plateau. The situation of the village at the foot of Sierra Nevada, Dollar makes an ideal place for those who like to get in touch with nature and the mountains, and sports like hiking, biking, or rides on horseback.

This region, unknown to many, hides interesting things. About 22 km is the town of Guadix. Through the Port of Ragua, located about 20 km of road, you reach the region of the Alpujarra. A part of the municipality is situated within the Natural Park Sierra Nevada.
