The Palace of the Chancery or Place of Justice is located at Plaza Nueva It was built by orders of Carlos I between 1531 and 1587 in order to house the Royal Chancery of Granada.
It now houses the headquarters of the High Court of Andalusia and of the Senior Prosecutor of the Autonomous Community. It was declared as "Bien de Interés Cultural" (BIC). It was the first building of its kind to be built in Spain to hold a court of law.
