Iglesia de San José

This church is built in 1525 in Gothic-Mudejar style on the Mosque Al-Murabitin. It is a church of unusual importance because it is hosting exceptional works of art from churches of Albayzín: the most representative are the altarpieces, paintings and sculptures of the renaissance and Baroque. It is interesting that there is still Islamic minaret present that was built in the eleventh century. It is one of the oldest preserved minarets in Spain.
