The Cathedral

The Cathedral is the first Renaissance church built in Spain and is one of the most important monuments of Granada. They start building it in 1518 on top of the city´s main mosque. The first plan had Gothic designs which you can see in some parts (in the Royal Capel). It took 181 years to build it ,so the Renaissance designs supplanted the earlier designs.
