Casa del Almirante

Casa del Almirante is a manor house of the sixteenth century where Mudejar classicist and aesthetic come together. It has recently renovated and is functioning as School of Architecture of Granada part of the University of Granada and is specified in Restoration. It was named in memory of the "Almirante of Aragon" Francisco de Mendoza, born in the Alhambra in 1545, son of the fourth Earl of Tendilla. He was a military, and ecclesiastical writer and participated in the struggles against the Moors from Granada. The building is free to visit during week days.
