Casa de los Pisa - Museo de San Juan de Dios

The House of Pisa was built in 1492 by the family Pisa shortly after the reconquest of Granada by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492. In the 16th century they hosted San Juan who was very ill and who died on March 8, 1550 in this house.

The building was purchased by the Hospitaller Order of St. Juan de Dios in 1927, as it was considered one of the most endearing elements of their heritage. In January 1931 the archive of the cultural center of the Hospitaller Order was created which is managed by the Andalusia Province.

Its main purpose is to ensure awareness and preservation of cultural heritage, with the intention of spreading the word for pastoral and educational and scientific purposes.

Today it is still a museum in honor of San Juan de Dios.
