Fuencaliente Orce


Located about 2 km from the center of Orce, in the direction of the town Galera there is a "hot" water spring. Throughout the year the water temperature is around 20-22 degrees Celsius, hence the name "Fuencaliente". 

 

In all is singular and unique: The clarity of its waters, fish (catfish) that share habitat with swimmers, the water is constantly renewed and does not need chemicals or complex system for purification, treatments and also by health officials this water area has certain medicinal properties which makes bathing in it an exercise in health.

 

The spring is surrounded by weeping willows and elms, a recreational area consisting of parking, picnic area, barbecues, and a beach bar.



The spring of Fuencaliente is the main tributary of the Rio de Orce, providing a flow rate of 86 l / sec (for 2009 data measurement).
