Cueva del Buitre - Huéscar

In El Baranco del Buitre are two caves situated. The two caves should be entered by people with experience. It is unknown how deep the caves are. Through the lower cave is flowing a river which is reaching the ceiling in rain season. But in dry season you can walk into the cave but at a certain point you have to walk in the river until you knees to go futher.

The upper cave looks in the first place like a pastor shelter and is located on top of the lower cave. It has its entrance to go futher, but at a certain point you have to crawl. It is possible the two cave are connected. So far they are not described in any document on the internet. The river that flows out of the lower cave is a hundred meters down controlled by a weir in order to let the water flow into irrigation channels. This control point is also responsable for the water flow downstream and  makes it depending if the waterfall more downstream is there or not.
