Piñar



Village of 1235 inhabitants (2014) which is situated at 950 meters above sealevel. The people are living mainly from the olive culture.

 

The village has a rich prehistoric history. There are several prehistoric caves like Las Ventanas y La Carihuela. The first cave is open for public. In order to visit the cave you have to get a tourist train that leaves from the villages center. It has several beautiful rooms with stalactites and stalagmites formations, and small lakes.

Festivities in Piñar


  • The traditional fiesta is held on the 4th of May in honor of Santa Monica.
