Montillana



The village is located 1022 meters above sea level and has 1324 inhabitants (2014). It seems that this village was inhabited since prehistoric times, but no evidence was found for this. At Roaero they have found although the less ancient remains; a Roman necropolis.

 

Montillana is a mountain village and contact with nature is one of its main attractions. You can make hiking tours in the stunning mountains like the "Sierra de Alta Coloma" and the "Noalejo".

  • From the 4th until the 7th of August the festivities in honor of Virgen del Rosario;
  • On the 7th of October the Virgen del Rosario is celebrated with a procession.
