The village is located near the village Brácana and about 10 Kms from Illora to which municipality it belongs. They found a lot of interesting traces of previous civilizations. The most of them are from the Muslim era.; one example is the watch tower, one of the few Arabic watchtowers that is still standing.
Traditionally it produced olive oil of high quality and there were various types of mills and factories in Tócon for the production of oil and meal. The population that currently has just over 1,000 inhabitants is mainly dedicated to agriculture but currently, tourism, construction and services provide a special dynamism and are generating welfare and population growth.
