The village is located 390 meters above sea level and has 1028 inhabitants (2013). Ítrabo has remains of ancient civilizations such as the Phoenicians, who came to this area to trade. The period of maximum splendor was reached with the establishment of the Arabs, who were able to take advantage of its agricultural resources and possibilities of new crops such as vines.

Festivities in Ítrabo


  • In February Carnaval is celebrated;
  • Celebrations in honor of the Santísima Virgen de la Salud. This takes place the last weekend of August. In this memorial various religious events celebrated such as masses and a procession with its image. At night, the festivities continue and ends with fireworks;
  • The Wine Festival is celebrated on the first Sunday in April. During these celebrations young winemakers compete to make the best must of wine of the year. Once the contest is over, the celebration starts at the Plaza de Andalucia with popular food for everyone who likes.
