Los Tablones



This small hamlet has 142 inhabitants (2014).  Los Tablones belongs to the municipality of Motril. It is a series of villages and hamlets scattered in different levels on terrestrial platforms and surrounded by the Sierra de Lújar. The core is called Tablón de la Escuela (schoolbord), which brings together several houses, the old  school and the church of San Antonio de Padua. In addition there are various cave houses, very typical of the entire region of peninsular Southeast.
