Colegiata de Santa Maria - Huéscar

It is the most emblematic monument of the city where Gothic, Baroque and Plateresque styles are mixed. It was built in the sixteenth century and was conceived as an authentic cathedral because of its important dimensions. It underwent major reforms in the next two centuries. They emphasize its Corinthian columns and the choir stalls that is reminiscent of the Cathedral of Toledo whose diocese belonged. Also mention the appeal of its body that was damaged during the Civil War.

The Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Huéscar was declared of Cultural Interest on February 8, 1973
