The aqueduct does not have a large history, but it is from architectural interest. It has been built in the 20th century around 1940. Cijuela is known for building advanced irrigation
systems that carried water to the entire area through a complex network of canals and ditches. This water is necessary for its very fertile soils and therefore a mainstay of its
economy.
